(Updated 3/8/26) The devastating wake boat proposals failed in the legislative sessions recently. The outpouring of emails, phone calls, and large hearings’ attendance all helped to get the word out. No action was taken by the Assembly nor Senate but there were close calls and the item will most likely resurface in the next session. A substitute bill was presented that met with the various lake groups’ approval, but that was not passed either. Lobbying has really helped ih this issue, too.
